Nevada Golden K Kiwanis
Thirty-two Golden K members and friends had the privilege of touring the former Milford School building on Sept. 10, now owned by Dean and Diane Jensen. The Jensens took over the property in 2007 and began renovation in 2009. Their goal was to reutilize the building without drastically changing it. The interior walls show off some of the original exposed brick in the building. The floors in several areas are composed of the original wood flooring, with some concrete areas incorporated where needed.
All three levels of the former school have undergone changes to make it a beautifully unique home. The first floor is comprised of a ballroom, a conference room, a small modern kitchen and some undesignated empty rooms. The living quarters are found upstairs and feature an open connected kitchen, family room and dining room area. The three bedrooms each have a private bath. A children’s playroom, office and hot tub are also included in the living quarters. Large workshop areas and a garage are located on the lowest level, which is still under construction.
We greatly appreciate the Jensens allowing us to tour their unique Milford home!
