HOMEWARD Public Health is offering seasonal flu clinics. Flu and pneumonia vaccinations will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost is $30 for the influenza vaccine, $40 for FluMist ® intranasal influenza vaccine (ages 2-50), $45 for a high-dose vaccine (seniors 65 years and older) and $75 for the pneumonia vaccine. Cash and checks will be accepted. Medicare Part B covers flue and pneumonia vaccinations, but you must present your Medicare card at the time of service.
No appointment is neccessary for these clinics, which will be offered at these locations in the Journal coverage area:
Colo Community Center, 309 Main St., Colo, Tuesday, Oct. 15, 10:30 a.m.-noon
Meadows Apartments, 402 Fifth St., Nevada, Tuesday, Oct. 15, 1-3 p.m.
Vaccinations are also offered at the HOMEWARD office in Ames, 1114 Duff Ave., Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Fridays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
