Seniors on Sixth

I sure hope you get the weather to warm up and stop snowing by the time we get home the first week in March. Our weather, in Florida, has been cooler than normal as well, but on the sunny days we usually make it up into the 70s.

This past weekend we spent time with my brother at Coco Beach, on the ocean. On Friday night, when the moon was full, he took me up to the roof of his condo to see the ocean under the moonlit sky. What a beautiful sight! We also checked out the campground where Rog and I have spent time several winters. I love it there because you can watch the cruise ships go in and out every day. It’s certainly different than our flat farmland in Iowa, but both are beautiful.

Two weeks ago I mentioned that we will be having a special Bingo day on Thursday, March 6. Shelly Thompson, director of the Zearing Care Center, will visit us that day to provide Bingo prizes and a dessert. She mentioned prizes, like gift cards for Fareway and Kum & Go, but I’m sure there will be lots of different items. Please pass the word to your friends about this so that we have a large group of players. If you have never been to Bingo at the Center, this would be a fun time to start. We start playing at 2, take a break for dessert about half way through, and are ready to leave by about 3:30.

Stay warm and remember — nice weather by March 4!
