Seniors On Sixth

Things are a little slower at the Center the last two weeks of each month, but especially this month since we will be closed for Senior activities on Nov. 28 and 29. I am pleased that the building will be used for family holiday gatherings on both of those days.

Because of that we decided last month that we would hold our card tournament day this week Friday, the 22nd instead of our usual last Friday of the month. We usually get started playing shortly after 1 p.m. We may have a smaller number of players than usual because several folks are off enjoying a three day trip to Branson.

Since I may not write my article next week I will remind you that our next Bingo day will be on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. We will be using our new table top Bingo machine, which I purchased with a generous memorial donation from the Bob Davis family.

Don’t forget about our “ladies day out” scheduled for Monday, Dec. 2. If you haven’t signed up, but decide you would like to go at the last minute, just be at the Center a little before 11 a.m. and we will car pool over to Ames and eat at Susie Q’s Goodies in the mall.

Remember to give thanks for all of your blessings!
