The time is here for the Angel Tree Program! With the arrival of fall, preparations for our 2013 Angel Tree Program are in full swing as an initial letter and request forms were made available to all families as of Oct. 4. Whether your child is a participant in this program or you are a community member wanting to provide for a child, please note the following dates and related information.
If your child qualifies for the Angel Tree Program according to the criteria stated in the informational portion of the letter, please fill out the form and be sure to return it to the NCRC or your child’s teacher by Oct. 18. The return of this request form is vital to getting your child’s angel out to the community in a timely manner.
If you would like to help a local child, angels will be available beginning Nov. 12. You may pick up an “angel” from the Nevada Chamber of Commerce or the Nevada Community Resource Center. It is very important that you leave your name and number on the provided sheet next to the angel that you have chosen. All purchased gifts should be returned to the Nevada Community Resource Center by Dec. 4. We ask that you do not wrap the gifts that you have provided.
Although this program is offered only during the holiday season, we do accept monetary donations all year to be put in the Angel Tree fund. If you would like to make a contribution, please make your checks payable to the “NCRC Angel Tree Fund”. The Nevada Community Angel Tree Program is another excellent example of how our community truly helps to serve those in need. Last year this community generously provided for 380 children. We want to say again, thank you for your continued support and generosity. Please call the NCRC with further questions at 382-1600.
