Benefit being planned for Nevada graduate

Mark the date! A basketball game and auction are being planned for Saturday, April 5, at Nevada High School to help Greg Wycoff and his family. Greg is a graduate of Nevada High School. He has battled a brain tumor in the past, and now is going through chemotherapy again to treat two tumors that have returned.

Basketball teammates from Nevada’s 1988-1991 teams are asked to come together and play in the benefit game. All alumni, friends and the community are asked to support the event, which will include a supper, game, auction and more.

Gary Vasey, who was a teacher and coach to Wycoff, is organizing the event with the help of other coaches of that time. Watch for more details in an upcoming story in the Nevada Journal. In the meantime, if you can play in the game, donate items for the benefit auction or supper, or help in any other way, please go to the Greg Wycoff Benefit page on Facebook. You can message Vasey from that site.
