The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Iowa State University is March 7-8 at Lied Recreation Center.
One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer within their lifetime. The money raised at Relay saves lives by funding cutting-edge cancer research, early detection and prevention education, advocacy efforts and patient services.
Relay allows individuals an opportunity to celebrate the lives of those who have survived cancer and to remember those who have passed away from this disease. For the newly diagnosed, Relay offers a chance to meet others who have claimed victory over cancer and has often been described as a “healing experience.” For the caregivers who give their time, love and support to their friends and family who face cancer, it provides hope and understanding.
