Christmas in Colo was held this past weekend with some holiday events for area residents to enjoy.

Among those events was a Gingerbread House Contest. Kids gathered at the Colo Library to make houses in the morning and then there was a viewing of the houses in the evening. Here are the winners of that fun event:

Pre-school-kindergarten category: Emma Moyer, first place; Luke Robinson, second place; Bailee McCollom, third place and Quin McCollom, fourth place.

First- and second-grade category: Cerra Muntz, first place.

Third- and fourth-grade category: Nathan McFarland, first place and Tanner Halverson, second place.

Fifth- and sixth-grade category: Althea Cerka, first place; Hannah Starling, second place; Libby Jensen, third place and Kortnie Halverson, fourth place.

Helping to sponsor the event were Wilson Auction, Colo Implement, Heartland Co-op, Top Flat Construction, John and Corky Angell, Colo Telephone, Walmart and Scentsy by Pat Timmerman.
