Zearing will soon see a familiar name on its Main Street convenience store. The new name will be Good II Go.
Rick Good, brother of Good & Quick owner Charlie Good, has purchased the service station at 114 W Main St.
Brett Johannes will be the store’s manager and is looking forward to the opportunity to provide Zearing with a place for not only what you would expect at a convenience store, but also daily lunch specials, pizza and chicken. Johannes, an enrolled tax agent, will also run his tax business, Abacus Tax, out of the location.
“We want to provide Zearing with variety and we want everything to be of the highest quality,” said Johannes.
Good and Johannes are currently refreshing and refurbishing the interior of the building. Their future plans include installing new gas and diesel pumps, as well as bringing back the hardware portion of the business.
The targeted opening date for the store is Aug.18. Good II Go will be open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Interviews for employees will take place next week at the store.
“The Goods have been around Zearing a long time,” said Johannes. “We knew we needed it.”
Johannes currently lives in Colo but is looking to move to the Zearing area.
