The annual Iowa All Breeds Jeep Show and 4x4 Event will return to Nevada for the fourth consecutive year this month.
Sept. 21 and 22, area residents are invited to join in the fun. The show will be held at the Story County Fairgrounds in Nevada.
Organizer Larry Reinsch said one of the highlights of this year’s show is the arrival of a fully restored and operational military half-track. “It’s one of the coolest army vehicles you will see in the old World War II movies,” he said. The half-track being brought to the show is owned by a collector who lives southwest of Des Moines. Reinsch said show organizers are working with a trucking company to bring the vehicle to Nevada.
Events for the show include a driving skills course, swap meet, RTI ramps, kids’ activities, RC cars course and more.
Wristbands to enter both days of the show are $20. Walk-in admission is $5 per person; and $1 for children under the age of 10.
Reinsch said the Nevada event has “grown to be the largest Jeep event of this kind in the state of Iowa.”
