Nevada Community School District audit is released

Hunt & Associates, P.C., Certified Public Accountants, has released an audit report on Nevada Community School District in Nevada.

The district’s revenues totaled $19,460,846 for the year ended June 30, 2013, a 13.7 percent decrease from the prior year. The decrease in revenues was due primarily to contributions for the construction of a new auditorium in the prior year. Revenues included $7,403,786 in local tax; charges for services of $1,867,106; operating grants, contributions and restricted interest of $2,682,597; capital grants and contributions of $492,019, unrestricted interest of $59,047 and other general revenues of $6,956,291.

Expenses for district operations totaled $18,094,882, a 4.5 percent increase from the prior year. Expenses included $10,344,934 for instructional services, $1,501,896 for operation and maintenance of plant services and $1,331,779 for administration services.
