Bryanne Presley, a Nevada High School 2010 graduate, was awarded a $24,000 fellowship from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities School of Music. She plans to complete a Master of Music degree in oboe performance in May 2016. Bryanne attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for her undergraduate degree, and received a Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance in May 2014. While at the University of Minnesota, Bryanne performed in the university’s top music ensembles and in various community orchestras in the Minneapolis area. Bryanne’s primary teacher is John Snow, principal oboist of the Minnesota Orchestra. Bryanne has also studied with other world renowned oboists, including Humbert Lucarelli of New York, Christoph Hartmann of the Berliner Philharmoniker, and Michael Henoch of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Bryanne was selected to perform for masterclasses at the International Double Reed Society convention hosted by New York University in August 2014.
