A reminder that the Greg Wycoff Benefit will be held April 5, from 4 p.m.-midnight in Nevada. A silent auction will be held in the high school foyer until 6:30 p.m. Also in the foyer will be a meal from 4-5:30. T-shirts will be sold from 4-7 p.m. A 50-50 raffle by the American Legion Post #48 will be held.
The basketball game portion of the benefit will feature teammates of Wycoff from 1988-1992 from 5:30-5:55 p.m. A half-court shootout will run from 5:55-6:05 and the second half of action from 6:05-6:30. A brief program, headed by Larry Parker, will be held from 6:30-7 p.m. and a dance begins at 8 p.m. at the Indian Creek Country Club.
Some of the silent auction items include an ISU football, ISU football tickets, Iowa football, Iowa football helmet, Iowa basketball, ISU basketball, ISU action photos of Paul Rhoads, Indian Creek Country Club single membership, Kingdom Hoops, an autographed card of St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Mike Waacha, Keith Jackson Packers signed football, three months of Crossfit or kickboxing, a quarter steer or whole hog and much more.
Matching funding will be provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
