Story Medical will be expanding its orthopedic services with the addition of Dr. Kirk Green, who will offer clinics and perform surgeries at Story County Medical Center. Dr. Green is certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has many years of experience. He will begin seeing patients at Story Medical on July 1. His arrival at Story Medical will result in the enhancement of Story Medical’s telemedicine capabilities, since he will be available for telemedicine consults and rounding for his patients when he is not on-site.
The addition of Dr. Green will enhance the orthopedic services already offered at Story Medical. Currently, Dr. Bryan Warme performs surgeries at Story Medical. He specializes in arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. He provides orthopedic coverage for Iowa State’s athletes and area high school athletes. Dr. Margaret Fehrle has been providing care at Story Medical since 1996 and specializes in total knee replacements, hip replacement surgery, rotator cuff/shoulder repair, joints, spinal procedures, sprains, strains, fracture repair and carpal tunnel surgery.
“This addition in orthopedic services will round off an already great program,” said Beth Rehbein, CNO. “We only look to continue to grow the services we offer to the community, so our patients can have the quality and convenient care they deserve.”
