Live Nativity was a great success

To the editor:

The Live Nativity, held in Nevada by Family of Faith and Bacon Funeral Home, was a success, and success doesn’t happen without a lot of support and work by people in the community.

At least 11 Nevada businesses, and a number of individuals and families helped support our effort to bring a meaningful portrayal of Christ’s birth to the town. Cast members, like the Chris Nady family, Scott and Vicki Hillock, Nick and Amy Rosenberg, Wayne Johnson, Matt Curtis, Kari White, Grace Ryken, Hannah Dietrich, Emily Weber, Lizzy Johnston, Kyla Brandenberg and Jon Bacon helped bring the story of Christmas to life, despite the frigid temperatures. And technical support came from people like Jeff and Mary Crawford, Zoe Nady and Orson Nady.

Family of Faith members worked hard from the beginning to make this idea a reality, and that hard work did not go unnoticed. The great talent of many members is appreciated. Scenes were great; costumes were wonderful. The staging area was well organized, and warm food on a cold night was welcomed.

To everyone in the community and surrounding communities who were able to experience God’s love that evening, we thank you for taking part. God has blessed us all in so many ways, and it was an honor to be able to give Him the praise that night by sharing Jesus’ birth with all of you. May God bless you all in 2014.
