Kids invited to Pitch, Hit & Run

Ames Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Story County to co-sponsor the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run event. This will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. (check-in begins at 9:30) at the Softball Complex at North River Valley (725 E 13th St). This is a free event for all participants.

The MLB Pitch, Hit & Run is open to boys and girls ages 7–14. There will be individual event winners and an overall winner. Winners will then get a chance to advance through four other levels, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2014 MLB All-Star Game! Preregistration is required. A birth certificate is also required for proof of age.
